There are at least two comprehensive web sites in which you can gather information about stateside agencies. These are excellent resources to provide for parents to help them locate organizations and agencies as they prepare to move to stateside locations.

Directions for Accessing the Information:

NICHCY

1. Begin at the DoDEA Resource Directory for Special Educators (www.odedodea.edu/special) .
2. Under Menu Options, select Education and Federal Government Sites.
3. Select National Information Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities (NICHCY)- State Resource Sheets. To access directly: (www.nichcy.org/states.htm)
4. Click on the state of your choice.

National Transition Alliance

1. Go back to the menu options and select Transition and School-to-Work.
2. Select National Transition Alliance for Youth with Disabilities (NTA).

3. After clicking on continue, select Resources from the left side of the menu.
4. Select Transition Resource Sheets by State in either text or Adobe format. For Adobe format you will need to have Adobe Reader loaded on your machine.
