Sentence Master Program:

http://www.llsys.com/professionals602/custserv/techsupp/smwin602.html

For Windows NT, 2000 & XP:

The installer says that the Sentence Master is not compatible with NT.

This is partly true. The 32 bit version of the Sentence Master will not run on Windows NT because of it's reliance on 16 bit dll's. However, the included 16 bit version _is_ compatible with NT. It is the same as the 32 bit version, but uses a 16 bit animation engine.

Continue installing the Sentence Master. When installation is complete, right click on the installed shortcut and choose properties. The target line should look something like this:

C:\Laureate\SMASTER2\SMASTR32.EXE

Change 32 to 16 so that it looks like this:

C:\Laureate\SMASTER2\SMASTR16.EXE

Getting a "script error-handler not defined".

This error is occuring because the Smastr32.exe program is running. NT requires, the Smaster16.exe file. Change the path of the shortcut so that it launches the Smastr16.exe program instead.

Go to Start | Programs | Laureate |. Now, instead of running The Sentence Master, use the right mouse button to click on the Sentence Master. A pop-up menu appears. Left click on properties. The target line should look something like this:

C:\Laureate\SMASTER2\SMASTR32.EXE

Change this line so that it reads:

C:\Laureate\SMASTER2\SMASTR16.EXE

For Windows 95:

- From the "Start" menu, choose "Settings", choose "Control Panel".
- Open "Display" and click on the "Settings" tab.
- From the color palette drop-box, choose "256 colors".
- Click OK, and then choose to restart your computer.

The Window washer wipes the window, but I can't see the word "BUS".

Your computer display may not be set to 256 colors or more.
